MVC NEAL PARKER ROAD
At 1037 hours on Saturday, August 6, 2011 stations 6 (Bloxom) & 4 (Atlantic) were dispatched to an MVC with possible entrapment at the intersection of Neal Parker Road (Rt. 316) & Will Fisher Road. Paramedic Redmond (20-25) arrived on the scene and confirmed the patient was trapped and Medivac would be required due to the extent of injuries. Crews from Rescue 4 & Engine 6-5 stabilized the vehicle, removed windows, flapped the roof, and removed the steering wheel to gain access to the patient. After extrication was completed the patient was transported by Medic 6-0 to Arcadia High School. Engine 4-6 set-up the landing zone there and patient care was turned over to Maryland Trooper 4 for air transport to Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
