On August 11, 2011 Stations 14 (Cheriton) and 15 (Cape Charles) were dispatched for a woods fire. Chief 14 (Stockton) arrived on scene and upgraded the call to a structure fire which added station 17 (Eastville), 19 (Cape Charles Rescue), 16 (Northampton) and 31 (NCEMS). Units arrived on scene with an out building fully involved with extension to the woods and exposure to a residence. Chief 14 (Stockton) had the Command.
