NEW DELIVERY - WALLOPS FLIGHT FACILITY FIRE DEPARTMENT

The NASA - Wallops Flight Facility Fire Department (Station 25), announces that "Ambulance 25-2" was delivered on Thursday, October 27, 2011. The ambulance was built by P.L. Custom Emergency Vehicles and is placed on a 2011 Ford E-450 chassis, powered by a gasoline motor. The unit was purchased through David Walls, Regional Account Manager for Goodman Specialized Vehicles of Amelia, Virginia. The new unit features a white and red color scheme, and is equipped with an L.E.D. emergency & D.O.T. lighting package. The ambulance will be placed into service in the coming weeks and will operate as the front-line EMS unit responding from Station 25. The existing "Ambulance 25-1" will be kept as a reserve unit.
