CHINCOTEAGUE V.F.C. - 9/11 MEMORIAL EVENT
On Sunday, September 11, 2011 the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company hosted a community-wide, 9/11 Firemen's Memorial & Patriot Service to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on our country. The event was held at the Robert Reed Park, located in downtown Chincoteague Island. Numerous Fire, EMS, Police and Armed Services personnel attended the event, as well as several local and state elected officials. Our staff would like to commend the members of the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company for organizing such a fine tribute to all those lost on that September day - WE WILL NEVER FORGET.
