On October 17, 2011 Stations 9 (Onancock), 18 (Onley), 8 (Tasley) and 10 (Melfa) were dispatched for a residential structure fire on Holly Street, in the Town of Onancock. Deputy Chief 9 (Truitt) had the Command. Engine 95 arrived on scene with a working fire in a two-story residential structure. The occupant evacuated prior to Fire Department arrival and was transported to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation. Engine 95 was supplied by a hydrant near the residence and Engine Tanker 18-4 supplied a backup line. Station 7 (Parksley) was requested for an Engine and Rehab 7. Onancock Police Department (Chief Heaster) and Virginia State Police Investigator (Neal) were on scene. Utilities were controlled by A&N Electric.
